Pipián paste is made from dried chile peppers such as pasilla and ancho, cloves, garlic, oil, toasted pumpkin seeds, roasted peanuts and toasted sesame seeds. Used with pork, beef, seafood and vegetables.
Use 1 part of the ready made paste to 4 parts of water, for a runnier sauce, just add more water.
